My Rant About Eating a Burger

This weekend I went home and found myself wanting to eat a burger, something I had not enjoyed since we watched Food Inc. at the beginning of the semester. Not wanting to give into my craving by enjoying an animal who lived a life of suffering, I decided to look around the meat section at my local grocery store. I was surprised to find the perfect substitute: turkey burger. The turkey was raised on what we might refer to as a good farm and I have come to decided that an animal that comes from that environment is ok for me to eat. I hope I made the right decision straying away from my recently vegetarian ways which I have adapted at school.

  1. I had that problem too! My roommates all wanted to make burgers over spring break and I knew for sure that they weren't going to spring for any grass-fed-happy-beef. So....I ended up buying veggie burgers, just the normal Morning Star brand. They were DELICIOUS! They might have been better than any beef burger I've ever had. I have also become a vegetarian since the beginning of the semester (pretty much) and this may sounds weird, but all throughout Food Inc. I had a really strong urge to eat a burger and also a really strong urge to never ever eat meat again. These two feelings came and went with different images and information on the screen. Anyways, you should try those veggie burgers...seriously delicious.
